สถิติหญิงและชาย สถิติเกี่ยวกับหญิงและชาย ที่เสนอในบทนี้ ได้มาจาก กรมการปกครอง กระทรวงมหาดไทย กรมควบคุมโรค และ ก ร ม ก าร แพ ท ย์ ก ร ะท ร ว ง ส าธ ารณ สุ ข สํ านั ก ง าน คณะกรรมการข้าราชการพลเรือน สํานักนายกรัฐมนตรี และสํานักงานสถิติแห่งชาติ กระทรวงดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจ และสังคม แผนพัฒนาสตรีในช่วงแผนพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและ สังคมแห่งชาติ ได้ให้ความสําคัญในการสร้างสังคมไทย เป็นสังคมที่เสมอภาค เพื่อคนไทยทุกเพศทุกวัย ให้มีเจตคติ ที่เคารพเท่าเทียมระหว่างหญิงชาย ซึ่งผู้หญิงและเด็กหญิง เป็นประชาชนจํานวนกึ่งหนึ่ง ของประเทศที่สมควรได้รับ ประโยชน์และมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนา ดังนั้น สตรีจึงมี ความสําคัญในทุกมิติ ของยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ โดยเฉพาะการให้ ความสําคัญต่อการพัฒนาและเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของสตรีใน ฐานะที่เป็นทรัพยากรมนุษย์ของชาติ โดยเปิดโอกาสให้สตรี ได้สามารถเข้าถึงโอกาสการพัฒนา การสร้างโอกาสและ ความเสมอภาคทางสังคม โดยคํานึงถึงความเป็นธรรม ต่อสตรีที่จะไม่ถูกเลือกปฏิบัติและถูกกระทําจากความรุนแรง ในทุกรูปแบบ การพัฒนา ส่งเสริม และสนับสนุนให้ทุกภาค ส่วนทั้งภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และภาคประชาสังคมมีส่วนร่วมใน การพัฒนาและยกระดับสถานภาพสตรี การปรับเปลี่ยนเจตคติ ของสังคมให้มีความตระหนักต่อความเสมอภาคระหว่างเพศ อันเป็นค่านิยมที่พึงประสงค์ในการพัฒนาและการอยู่ร่วมกัน ในสังคมที่มีคุณภาพ และการสนับสนุนให้สตรีเป็นผู้นํา และหุ้นส่วนการพัฒนาที่เข้มแข็ง ในทุกระดับ อีกทั้งยุทธศาสตร์ การพัฒนาสตรีฯ ยังเน้นการพัฒนาปรับปรุงมาตรการกฎหมาย กลไก และกระบวนการที่เกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาสตรีโดย มุ่งสร้างสังคมไทยให้เป็นสังคมที่สงบสุข มั่นคงปลอดภัย สตรีอยู่ในครอบครัว ชุมชน และสังคมที่อบอุ่น มั่นคง และปลอดภัย ปราศจากความรุนแรงทุกรูปแบบ และเน้นพัฒนาสตรี ให้รู้เท่าทันต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่กําลังเกิดขึ้นในอาเซียนและ Gender Statistics Gender statistics presented in this chapter were obtained from the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior; Department of Disease Control and Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Health, Office of the Civil Service Commission, Office of the Prime Minister and National Statistical Office, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. The Women’s Development Plan, operating within the framework of the National Economic and Social Development Plan, holds significant importance in fostering a Thai society that upholds gender equality. Recognizing that women and girls constitute half of the country's population, it is imperative to ensure their inclusion and participation in development endeavors. Women are integral to every facet of national strategy, particularly concerning their development and empowerment as essential human resources. This involves granting women access to development opportunities, fostering gender equality in society, ensuring fairness and protection against discrimination and violence. Efforts are directed towards engaging all sectors - governmental, private, and civil society - in advancing the status of women. Societal attitudes are being transformed to embrace gender equality as a fundamental value in fostering a harmonious and progressive society. Furthermore, support is extended to empower women to assume leadership roles and contribute to development across all levels. Additionally, the women's development strategy prioritizes enhancing laws, mechanisms, and processes related to women's advancement to cultivate a peaceful and prosperous society.
