การประมงทะเล รวมถึงการเพาะเลี้ยงชายฝั่ง ซึ่งเป็นผลผลิตหลักของประเทศ การจําแนกสัตว์นํ้าทะเล ตามที่อยู่อาศัยและกลุ่ม ดังนี้คือ ปลาผิวนํ้า ปลาหน้าดิน และสัตว์ทะเลประเภทไม่มีกระดูกสันหลัง หรือสัตว์นํ้าอื่นๆ แหล่งทําการประมงของไทย กระทําทั้งในบริเวณอ่าวไทย และฝั่งทะเลอันดามัน ส่วนการประมงนอกน่านนํ้า ได้แก่ แหล่งประมงในน่านนํ้าสากล นอกฝั่งประเทศเพื่อนบ้านใน ภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และภูมิภาคเอเชียใต้ สําหรับ การเพาะเลี้ยงชายฝั่ง ได้แก่ การเพาะเลี้ยงในแหล่งนํ้ากร่อย ตามบริเวณพื้นที่ชายฝั่ง ปากแม่นํ้า ลําคลอง และทะเลสาบ พื้นที่ที่นํ้าทะเลท่วมถึงบริเวณที่ดอนชายนํ้า และป่าไม้ชายเลน ที่เสื่อมสภาพ และบริเวณนํ้าตื้นชายฝั่ง สํามะโนการเกษตร สํานักงานสถิติแห่งชาติ ได้จัดทําสํามะโนการเกษตรมาแล้ว 6 ครั้ง โดยครั้งแรก จัดทําเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2493 และถัดมาใน พ.ศ. 2506 2521 2536 2546 และ 2556 ตามลําดับ ซึ่งเป็นการจัดทําทุก 10 ปี ตามข้อเสนอแนะขององค์การอาหารและเกษตรแห่ง สหประชาชาติ (FAO) สํามะโนการเกษตร พ.ศ. 2566 นี้เป็น การจัดทําครั้งที่ 7 เพื่อให้ประเทศไทยมีข้อมูลโครงสร้าง พื้นฐานทางการเกษตรที่สําคัญ ในรอบทศวรรษ ซึ่งเป็น ข้อมูลอ้างอิงในการบริหาร และเป็นข้อมูลในการกําหนด น โยบ าย แล ะม าตรก าร เพื่ อพัฒ น าก าร เกษ ตรทั้ ง ใน ระดับประเทศและระดับท้องถิ่น การสํารวจมีคุ้มรวมครอบคลุมเกษตรกรที่เป็นผู้ถือ ครองทําการเกษตรทุกรายในทุกพื้นที่ทั่วประเทศ ทั้งที่อยู่ใน และนอกทะเบียน Marine fisheries and coastal aquaculture are the main fishery production of the country. Marine fishery resources are divided into 3 groups, i.e. pelagic fishery resources, demersal fishery resources, and invertebrates or other aquatic animals. Two main areas of Thai fisheries are the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea Coast. As for deep sea fishery, it is usually done in Southeast Asian country zone and South Asian zone. Coastal aquaculture is the activity operating along the sea shore, estuarine areas, canals, lakes inundation areas, mangrove areas, and shallow areas near the sea shore. Agricultural Census: National Statistical Office has conducted the agricultural censuses 6 times, the first agricultural census in 1950. The subsequent agricultural census was held in 1963, 1978, 1993, 2003, and 2023, respectively. Agricultural Census takes place every 10 years with the recommendations of the Food and Agriculture organization of the United Nations (FAO). National Statistical Office conduct the 2023 Agricultural Census which is the 7 th round of its series. The census aims to provide elementary information on crucial aspects of Thailand's agricultural structure over a decade. This information will serve as a reference for administration and be used to create guidelines and policies for developing agriculture both nationally and locally.
