Overall, the number of electricity users increased steadily throughout the period in both the Metropolitan Electricity Authority and the Provincial Electricity Authority areas. In terms of electricity consumption, large businesses had the highest electricity consumption, followed by residences, medium sized businesses, small sized businesses, and others, respectively. Electricity consumption increased over the past five years, despite fluctuations in some years, and decreased slightly in 2025 compared with the previous year. In 2025 , the amount of electricity distributed under the Metropolitan Electricity Authority totaled 53,918,741 10 kWh (number of electricity consumers: 4,383,942 ), while under the Provincial Electricity Authority, it totaled 148,798,813 10 kWh (number of electricity consumers: 21,977,502 person) In summary, the continuous growth in the number of electricity users led to a corresponding increase in overall electricity consumption, reflecting an expanding demand for energy in both Metropolitan Electricity Authority and the Provincial Electricity Authority areas. 3 3 3 3
